Need a pick up, this will have you buzzing all day long! Well… for a bit!

2 Handfuls of Fairtrade green grapes
2 Handfuls of Fairtrade red grapes
250ml Grape juice
Juice of half a small Fairtrade lemon
3 Handfulls of ice cubes

Add all ingredients to your smoothie maker and you’ve got one ready to drink sugar rush!!!

Apple and Blackcurrant

This is a very traditional flavoured smoothie, but with the ace twist that all the ingredients used are giving people a fair price for their fruit!

200ml Fruit passion apple juice from Co-Op
Half a jar of blackcurrant conserve from M&S
6 Fairtrade Grapes
Handful of ice cubes

Dead simple, all ingredients into the smoothiemaker, hit start and you’ve got yourself a totally fair Apple and Blackcurrant smoothie. Good thought old chap!

This recipe is only enough for one person so up the ingrediants if your smoothing for more than your self!

Love a little zing in your life? Check this out!!! (Said with south American accent).

1/2 Fairtrade Pineapple
1 Fairtrade Lemon
2 Fairtrade Clementines
Handful of Fairtrade grapes
150ml Fair Trade tropical juice
Handful of ice cubes

Peel lemon, clementines and remove the outer nasty bits of pineapple, chop big fruits into peices and add all content to the smoothie maker (ice last)

This recipe is totally fairtrade (apart from the ice), Wohoooo!!!

Full of zest, a real ‘pick me up’! Also full of vitamin C – destroy those free-radicals!

Handful of cranberries
250ml cranberry juice
Handful of grapes
400ml of natural yoghurt
Handful of ice

Prepare cranberries (remove stalks and wash), add all ingredients to smoothiemaker- smooth, pour, drink, wake up!

This smoothie can be made without the cranberries, just add more juice to taste.
Grapes sweeten the smoothie but are not essential.

Fruitily Fair Plum and Avocado

And the plumb-line says… yup this one is perfect – perfectly fair!

For this delicious smoothie full of fairtrade goodness you will need:

4 fair trade plums
1 fair trade avocado
Handful of fair trade white grapes
250ml fairtrade orange juice
Handful of ice

Peel and de-stone the plums, slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Add all ingredients to smoothie maker and mix until smooth

Serves 2-3

Strawberry and banana

This smoothie is officially tastier than the top pre-made smoothies as tested in Episode 8 of our podcast series from back in the day (ahh the memories).

Make it yourself by using:

1 large banana
3 handfuls strawberries
1 handful of grapes
1/2 cup of apple juice (or an apple and some water)
1 Handful of icecubes

Prepare fruits as normal. Mix until you reach smoothie consistency

Experiment, be creative, change the quantities around or even add new ingredients to find your favourite strawberry and banana smoothie.
