Pineapple Lime Ginger Smoothie
This smoothie is very refreshing! The ginger has important health benefits! The ginger can settle an upset stomach, it has anti-inflammatory properties, it can boost the immune system, and it can even help prevent against cancer. The ground ginger will incorporate better in the smoothie, but you can also substitute fresh grated ginger in this recipe. This is a low calorie smoothie and is a great drink to have with dinner because of the digestive help pineapple and ginger offer.
To make this smoothie, you will need:
-2/3 cup Fairtrade pineapple
-1 Tablespoon lime juice
-1 cup cold water (you can substitute 4 ice cubes)
-1/4 teaspoon ginger
-1 teaspoon local honey
Add the ingredients to the blender in this order: pineapple, lime juice, honey, water, ground ginger. Blend until smooth.
